THE AABIE BALL.

FRIDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER 2026, HILTON GLASGOW

We are delighted to share with you details about the AABIE Charity Ball hosted by AAB.

You’ll find below information on the fantastic auction and exclusive items that have so kindly been donated.

We look forward to seeing you on the night!

WHAT IS THE AABIE CHARITY BALL?

AABIE, AAB’s very own charity is the cause. The purpose of the event is to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic charity, so that we can continue to support so many worthy charities and causes across Ireland and the UK.

WHAT IS AABIE?

AABIE provides a platform for all of us at AAB, to invest in the communities in which we operate. AABIE does this by seeking partnerships with charities and inviting applications from worthy causes for donations, grants and volunteer time.

What makes AABIE special is that AAB team members truly make the work that AABIE does possible. Almost all money donated from grant round funding is raised by our team members. It is also AAB teams who carry out all the volunteer time, with the business donating a full day of paid volunteering time to allow each employee to support community projects.

Giving something back has always been an important part of our culture across AAB, and AABIE is how we continue to make this happen.

Here’s the official stuff: AABIE Charitable Initiative, known as ‘AABIE’, is a registered Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation. Scottish Charity No. SC046440.

WHO ARE THE BENEFICIARIES OF AABIE?

Whilst AABIE is a registered charity, the beneficiaries of its “services” aren’t defined in the way that other charities operate. AABIE is unique – we invite charities, projects and local causes to apply for grant funding, which is then reviewed and distributed on a quarterly basis. AABIE has a set criteria that all applications need to meet, but the end users and beneficiaries of the funds vary depending on the applications we receive.

This makes the work of AABIE truly diverse. Information on the causes, community projects, grant funding and volunteering we have supported so far can be found https://aab.uk/aabie.

To date we have donated over:

  • Over £590,000 in grant funding.
  • Donated 7,000 hours of volunteer time.
  • Supported 325 different charities across the UK and Ireland.
