THE
BALL.
SATURDAY 14TH JUNE 2025, ASPIRE, LEEDS
Well… what an event that was!
Thank you to those who joined us for the AABIE ball on Saturday 14 June 2025 and congratulations again to the prize winners.
A huge thank you also to everyone who made the AABIE Ball such a success – our clients, contacts, donors and our team who pulled everything together…
… roll on the next AABIE Ball!
HOW MUCH DID THE AABIE BALL RAISE FOR THE CHARITY?
Thanks to the generosity of our guests (and to our fantastic donors) together we raised an amazing £45,000 for AABIE which is more than we could have hoped for!
This will help make the work AABIE does continue to be possible; supporting fantastic local charities and causes across the UK with vital grant funding.
I AM A PRIZE WINNER, HOW DO I CLAIM MY PRIZE?
Congratulations! You will hear from our Events Manager Kirsten Middleton shortly. Below we have noted a quick summary of the different items for ease:

REMIND ME… WHAT IS AABIE ALL ABOUT?
AABIE provides a platform for all of us at AAB to invest in the communities in which we operate. AABIE does this by seeking partnerships with charities and inviting applications from worthy causes for donations, grants and volunteer time.
What makes AABIE special is that AAB team members truly make the work that AABIE does possible. Almost all money donated from grant round funding is raised by our team members (which has now been enhanced through funds raised at our charity ball). It is also AAB teams who carry out all the volunteer time, with the business donating a full day of paid volunteering time to allow each team member to support community projects.
Giving something back has always been an important part of our culture across the group, and AABIE is how we continue to make this happen.
Whilst AABIE is a registered charity, the beneficiaries of its “services” aren’t defined in the way that other charities operate. AABIE is unique – we invite charities, projects and local causes to apply for grant funding, which is then reviewed and distributed on a quarterly basis. AABIE has a set criteria that all applications need to meet, but the end users and beneficiaries of the funds vary depending on the applications we receive.
This makes the work of AABIE truly diverse. Find out more in our 2025 AABIE charity video here.
Here’s the official stuff: Anderson Anderson & Brown Charitable Initiative, known as ‘AABIE’, is a registered Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation. Scottish Charity No. SC046440.
HOW CAN I CONTINUE TO SUPPORT AABIE?
Through AABIE, we look for applications to our quarterly grant funding programme (information on application criteria and dates can be found on our website) and we are actively committed to supporting local charities across all of our communities which range in size, type, requirement and user groups.
If you support any charities within the communities we operate in, and are interested in applying for funding or volunteer time, find out more about our funding criteria below and application to AABIE here.
If you would like to make a donation to AABIE, you can do so on our Just Giving page HERE.
